Information on the voucher

General

 Voucher redemption:

We recommend to ask at an early stage for free places in our booking office and to convert the voucher into a firm flight booking. When booking the flight specify the booking number (B-...) of the voucher. Your voucher is indefinitely valid and transferable. The voucher may be transfered by notifying the Deutsche Zeppelin-Reederei in written form stating the booking number and the new voucher recipient.


Opening hours of the booking office:

Monday through Friday: 8:00 am to 5:00 pm
Saturday, Sunday, public holiday:  8:00 am to 2:00 pm (only on flight days)

Walking disabalities:

Walking disabilities need to be indicated when booking. A passenger must be able to walk in normal speed about 30 yards over grass to reach the stairs to the airship and to step up and down the stairs on his own. For safety reasons, we otherwise have to exclude persons with mobility problems from transport. Children under the age of 2 years are not allowed to participate in a Zeppelin flight.


Check-in:

Passengers have to contact our check-in personnel 1 hour before departure. On presentation of their identity cards or passports, passengers will be provided with their flight ticket. Then they receive their safety briefing.


How to find us in Friedrichshafen:

Drive into the direction of the "Messe" and follow the signs "Zeppelin Flüge" or "Zeppelin Halle".

Frequently asked questions concerning the voucher

When will there be no Zeppelin flights?

We will cease flight operations in case of:

• strong wind
• heavy rain
• hail and snowfall
• low-lying clouds
• fog
• reduced visibility (legal visual meteorological conditions, VMC)
• thunderstorms or thunderstorm warnings

The final decision will be made by the pilot on the day of the flight. Our team will immediately inform you via telephone if the flight has been canceled. We will then arrange a new flight date.

 

If you have not given us your telephone number, mobile phone number or hotel number during booking, please provide us with this information in due time before the day of the flight. Ideally, we will be able to reach you under your mobile phone number. We ask you to stay standby on the day of the flight.

 

The weather hotline (+49 7541 5900-444, recorded message) will inform you about current meteorological conditions even outside our office hours.


How long is a voucher valid?

Your voucher is - subject to payment - indefinitely valid and transferable. The voucher may be transfered by notifying the Deutsche Zeppelin-Reederei (DZR) in written form stating the booking number and the new voucher recipient.


Can the voucher be redeemed for a longer flight?

You can choose a longer flight from our flight offers at any time. The value of the voucher will be set off against the price of the new flight.


Is the voucher valid for flights from Friedrichshafen only?

The voucher is - subject to payment - valid for flights starting in Friedrichshafen as well as any other places within Germany offered by the DZR.


Is it necessary to make a firm booking prior to the flight or is it possible to fly on a drop-in base?

Your flight will be firmly booked only after you have received a booking confirmation for a specific flight date. An inquiry for an open flight is not sufficient. In general, short-term bookings are possible, but we recommend to ask for open flights well in advance. When redeeming your voucher please indicate your booking number (B-...).
