Company History of Deutsche Zeppelin Reederei GmbH
The Deutsche Zeppelin-Reederei GmbH (DZR) was founded as an operating company for the Zeppelin NT on 15 August, 2001. The company is a fully-owned subsidiary of the Zeppelin Luftschifftechnik GmbH and operates the Zeppelin airships, comparable to an airline in conventional air traffic.
The Deutsche Zeppelin Reederei GmbH was re-established in 2001. In 1935, the Deutsche Zeppelin-Reederei was already founded by the Luftschiffbau Zeppelin GmbH as an airline for Zeppelin airships with the aid of governmental funding.
